About Bread and Roses by Ken Loach i got to say that the storyline is a little bit hollywood-like and thats something awful for me, however the theme still being a very actual topic so in that point of view i like it a lot, because is a "cinematographic support" to that kind of worker-struggle.
My favorite character was Rosa, the sister of Maya, because she's a very strong character and i can imagine his situation even in the real life, fighting with the unfairness of his job, and the unjustness of the state in general.
And my favorite scene was in the place where Rosa and Maya were living, when she arrives home angry and Rosa is straighten clothes. This scene answers the relationship among both characters so for me was very emotional, because the truth of Rosa comes out.
I like the theme because it is necessary to depict, but all the storyline was like a soap opera, and the movie has so many plots of the characters to develop that his lenght wasn't enough. Like Maya ends in jail (that wasn't necessary), and what happen with the two lovers (?).
